Game details

  • Laser Tag is suitable for adults and children from 8 years old
  • Each game includes team selection, gear up, game instructions and Game time requiring a minimum of 2 hours
  • We play a series of missions with set objectives to achieve in each game
  • We have different missions for different age groups
  • Games can be played in light/drizzling rain. Not set in or heavy rain
  • Laser Tag is a team game for 16 to 50 players. Booking with less than the required minimum number of players is no problem as we offer combined games.

Combined Games

  • Combined Games are for players who do not have the required minimum number of players to make an exclusive booking
  • All players booked into the same game time are divided into two even teams. Teams are divided up to have the same amount of young kids on each team, the same amount of teens on each team and the same goes for adults
  • We always try to book in players of the same age group into the same game time to keep things fair

What to Wear & Bring

  • For all activities all players MUST wear enclosed shoes. Sensible running shoes are preferred as this is an all terrain outdoor arena. No shoes means no play
  • All players are given a stretchy headband with sensors on it that goes over the head, so for hygiene reasons all players MUST wear a hat/cap for Laser Tag
  • Hat hire is $2.00 if required
  • Dark or camouflage coloured clothes are best, bright colours will make you an easy target
  • Shorts or long pants are fine
  • Players will get thirsty so bring a water bottle (with water in it of course)
  • And bring plenty of energy and a good attitude!

Safety

  • Our Combat Laser Tag weapons are harmless, using infrared laser
  • The guns have a range of 60 -120 meters with pin point accuracy
  • A comprehensive safety briefing is given to all players before gaming begins
  • All players MUST wear a hat/cap for Laser Tag
  • For all activities all players MUST wear enclosed shoes
  • Games are postponed if weather conditions compromise player Health & Safety
  • For Health & Safety an adult must stay with each group during the game
  • NO SMOKING in any of our laser tag/paintball fields or our safe area shed
  • SPECTATORS: Are allowed in the playing area but must follow the guidance of the staff at Game on Activities.
  • NO VIOLENCE: There is to be no violence on our fields or premises, if there is you will be asked to leave with the possibility of the necessary authorities being notified
  • NO REFUNDS: You will be unable to get a refund if you have not turned up in time for your briefing or if your player/team has been removed off the field due to not abiding by the rules or your under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • DO NOT pick up any unused paintballs lying around our facility or in the field of play
  • RESPONSIBILITY: We are not responsible for any items lost on our fields or left behind. Please leave all bags and clothing in your cars. We can hold keys, phones and wallets behind our counter
  • No one under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be allowed to play

Paintball


GAME DETAILS

  • Players will be split into two equal teams
  • Player will start their game with marker barrels touching the start point
  • The game will start when the whistle or air horn sounds and last for the required amount of time (to be announced by the referee)
  • Players objective is to shoot the opposing team, players are eliminated when they are hit with a paintball and it breaks on their body, goggles, marker or any equipment they are carrying
  • Players may call a “paint check” if they are hit but are unsure if it has broken
  • Eliminated players must call “HIT!” place their hand on their head as quickly as they can to their dead box, then place their barrel bag on the end of their marker
  • Players objective is to get the flag, at the centre of the field and take it to their opponents start point (like a try in Rugby)
  • The game ends when either a) all of the opposition are eliminated, or b) when a team has successfully hung the flag on the oppositions start poin
  • All paintballs must be purchased from Bay of Plenty Paintball
  • Paintball is suitable for adults and children from 13 years old
  • Children aged between 13-18 require supervision. Parents/Guardians need to be on site at all times during the booking. No children under the age of 18 are to be dropped off, then collected when their game is finished

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING

  • Goggles must be worn at all times when not in safe zones (provided)
  • Dark or camouflage coloured clothes are best, bright colours will make you an easy target
  • Long pants and long sleeves are recommended to help protect against paintball strikes
  • Players will get thirsty so bring a water bottle (with water in it of course)
  • And bring plenty of energy and a good attitude!

  • All players must be 13 years or older to play paintball
  • All Players playing paintball at Bay of Plenty Paintball must have signed a “Waiver” form. If under 18 years of age the waiver must be signed by a parent or Guardian
  • All paintball markers will be chronographed below 290FPS
  • Your safety catch and barrel sock must be on your marker at all times when not in use (no barrel plugs)
  • NO SMOKING in any of our paintball fields or safe area shed
  • SPECTATORS: Do not enter the fields unless you have a mask on. Please see us if you would like to view games

B.Y.O paintball GUNS

If you do bring your own paintball guns they must comply with the following:

  • All air systems must be New Zealand legal with a current LAB or SP LAB number and in test (3 Year for Carbon Fibre, 5 Years for Steel) or they will not be filled
  • All air systems must be filled by an approved filler
  • All paintball markers must comply with New Zealand law and be Semi Auto (i.e. One shot per trigger pull) or Pump Action only (No Ramping or Full Auto Modes allowed)
